In Minn. five hunters were gunned down and three others wounded by a man on a rampage. Supposedly there was a dispute about a treestand and the guy went nuts with his semi-auto rifle. People like this make me sick. http://www.cnn.com has the story. I think this guy deserves to be shot! Sympathy goes out to the familys that lost their loved ones.

What difference does it make that it was an "assault" style weapon. They are just a semi auto rifle that looks than a standard rifle. Best case scenario an "assault" weapon was designed for military/police use and would be more accurate and could function under adverse conditions(sounds like a good hunting rifle to me). Worst case it was cheaply built for some 3rd world org. and is a piece of crap. (there are alot in both categories) People can and do use so called assault rifles to hunt with.

Whether he used a grenade, a spoon, rifle, car or baseball bat, the issue SHOULD be that he killed people, period.

As to how he got one? Could've gotten it anywhere. A few years ago I bought an SKS from a contractor working on some upgrades at work. Right in the parking lot.

Does Wisconsin have the death penalty? I hope so, cause this guy needs to get the injection. Firing squad would be ok too...

Too bad. I think the whole system needs to be overhauled. Convicted of a capital offense= 1 appeal. Failed appeal means they drag you out back and put a bullet or two in you. Shouldn't have to pay for these fu*^ers sittin around doing nothing but wasting time and taxpayer $$. IMO.

( Just for the record, I know it will never be that simplistic and there is a chance people would die that were not guilty...)

abish, I didn't mean to sound like I was jumping on you in my earlier post. If I came across like it...
