I have to report to Jury Duty Monday morning. This bites! The welder is supposed to work my motor mounts at 8:00 am. I cant be here to make sure it's done like i want. Whats a good way to get out of Jury Duty?

Last time I got called for it was the day after I put the money down on a different place out of the county I was called for. Being moved out of the county before the term started worked like a charm. The time before I had to do it for part of the term, but they let me off when I went back to college at the end of the summer.

Once you're in the pool and called for a day it is pretty hard to get out I think. Getting excused during selection for a case is easy though, just pick a side of the case and answer everything like you've already made up your mind. Problem is, the welder would be done and gone I bet by the time you get out for the day. Might as well just cancel the welder, bite the bullet, and serve. Who knows, you might get to put away a car thief/vandal or something

Just walk in with a noose in your hand whispering "Hang 'em, just hang 'em"
That should work too.

just walk in and tell them you don't want to do it.
they understand if you don't have time.
all the stories everyone tells you is wrong.
the truth is.....if you don't want to be there....they don't want you to be there.

I showed up and went thru all the crap. They selected 12 jurors and i was sent home! The welder finished up the mounts and now i can proceed with the install. The kid on trial is in for a bad time. The ones that they picked have been on juries before and most of them convicted.
