Well this might be different stuff, i don't know, but i have used a plastic scratch remover for my 4 wheelers fenders...and it didn't work at all! All it did was shined the plastic up a bit, but the scratches were almost even more noticeable! Best advice is to buff em out

Ive been detailing autos for 15 years now and it really depends on how deep they are. First thing to do is run a finger nail across it. If your nail catches it, its not going away. You can make it less noticable however. If it doesnt catch your nail you can easily get it out. The best method is by using an electric grinder/buffer. But if you dont have $200 layin around to buy one, you can do it by hand. The stuff I use you cant buy at a store but you can get similar products at any chain auto parts store. Just get a decent name brand scratch remover and wax/glaze. When you use the scratch remover dont rub hard. Rub lightly and go over the scratch multipal times. It does no good to rub hard. Youll just creat more scratches. Dont get discouraged if it takes a while, it probably will. Just take your time.
