Alright for the past 6-7months i have been slipping in and out of depression. I dont mean the no motivation type i mean realy deep depresion where i have thought of suicide. I know that i have no reason for these thoughts, i have just about everything i could ever whant but i still just feel useless and like my life is pointless. And its almost normal now that when i go driving i think if i could kill myself if i drove into a ditch and rolled my truck. I just realy dont know what is going on

hey man if there is no reason for it then you might want to go talk with someone about it.
maybe you need a lifestyle change. are you happy with your job, living situation, etc....?
just remember.....if you end it.....it IS the end. no coming back, or changing your mind. you can ALWAYS change something. MOVE across the country and change everything to make it interesting.
life is too fun to want to end it. find you a hobby that will want to make you live. go hiking, or skydiving, or go do something.

hope this helps some man. that depression sux. get through it and have a good life!
:D

Hey bro there aint no need to do something as bad as that!!!! 8O I can honestly tell you that you may think it may be a good idea but stop and think of you folks! You can never imagine how it would crush your father and mother and the complete hopelessness it would put in their lives as well. I speak from experience I have had two friends in my life who did it and I cannot begin to tell you how it affected me much less what it did to the family!!!
I know what your going through to I have been there myself and believe it or not I joined the Army because of it and I have never regretted a day of it....... well maybe the last 7 months away from my wife and truck  but seriously it gave me guidance on how to be strong and not let shit get you down.
I have hit rock bottom before brother and I can tell ya it aint no fun!
I heard it said on TV once, " A mans success depends on how high he bounces when he hits rock bottom!"
I have lived with this quote for many years and I always tell myself I hit the bottom and now all I can see is sky!
Keep your head up and just think.... IT ISNT WORTH IT !!!
If you need to talk bro there are many people on this site who would be glad to talk to you about it ok? Myself included even if I have to stay awawke all night just to get online to chat ok?
Take care and keep your head up Bro
Later
Husker

If there is no reason for it... it may be a chemical imbalance (serotonin). this is easily cured with medications. I worked in the medical industry for years (pharmacy) and you would be surprised what modern medicine can do for you. You would be surprised how many other people walking around you during your normal day, use Zoloft or Prozac, etc. I have even used it before and I am here to tell you... it worked great!

Sometimes just talking about it can make a difference. Taking the initiative to talk about it with somebody (even if it is just us luvtruck.com members) is a good first step.

I have to agree with Luvsadrag, My wife was on Paxil but had one side effect from the drug( it was sexual i'll leave it at that  ) But She is a completly different person when she was diagnosed with low seratonin levels but she has since started taking another medication I cant remember the name right off hand but it is the same thing as Paxil and she has had no problems since. You might want to have a Doc check you out. If not like Luv said WE are always here to talk bro You can PM me or email me as well if you want to talk!! 8)
Take care Bro

I wonderd about you all day MEPR. I can feel your pains man. One thing i learned throuh all my trivias of life ...is , that if your not learning, your not a happy . My thoughts are that all men go through test in there lives.. when they reach a certain age. This could be building character. A good thing!. The more you can withstand in this life ... might determan how wise you shall be as you grow older. We have all' had our hard knocks...just some, to a different degree... Camping out by myself in the wilderness to find myself always was a cure for me...not easy....but rewarding! Stay alive....you well be happy you made that decision in the future. Even though it dos'ent seem like that now. Stay stong Bro. Stick around...Ya never know what ya might learn from life! IT WILL GET BETTER....have faith... Just ask me about it ....I have been blessed. Hell and back and damn glad of it. I really do agree with Husker...QUOTE.." A mans success depends on how high he bounces when he hits rock bottom!"

Hey MEPR, hang in there!!! I have been that way for about 10 years!!!! I held it in as nobody wanted to listen and knew suicide WASNT AN OPTION!!!! That is the cowards way out and life is to great to give up on!!!! Anyway, for holding it in so long it started giving me health problems, I thought I was having a heart attack at 37!!! 8O Went to the ER and nothing was wrong with my ticker, the doctor figured it out pretty quick that I was depressed (Friggin women!!!!) Well the doctor tried me on 3 differen kinds of antidepreessents and they dont work unless you THINK they are going to work. What has been working for me is TALKING about the problems to someone (anyone that will listen, luckily the guy I deliver with happens to be a cool dude!!). So what I am getting at is, I think we here at LUVtruck will be here for ya and dont hesitate to email any of us if you need to. I have been kicking around calling a counselor to further help me, have you considered that??? I think it is better than the meds that are on the market. If ya want, email me at tilted@luvtruck.com and we can jab about our probs!! Will be good for both of us!!! 8)

i dont know i just whent out bymyself to do a little playing around in the hills in my truck and it did alot for me. I kinda did some thinking and i think i pinned down a possible reason for all of this bs. SO now out to change that...
Thanks guys i think the biggest thing was just kinda talking through it a bit.

If you have anymore problems, come on over to my house if you want. Anyone who has a LUV and went to CV high school can't be too bad. I've had several of those kind of "episodes", and I'm only 15. All you've got to do is have fun with people you like, when you're having fun, fun is all you can think about.

Please Mepr get some help. A chemical imbalance has made this hell you are going, I'm sure. See a doctor. What you are going through is awful, but there is help. As you can see, everyone here cares, and wants to help.
