ran beautiful the whole time, and the only trouble i had was the thermo sensor lead disconnected itself. otherwise, ran good the whole time...

D-Day. we had the truck finished, but still needed to clean up the mess of the other truck...
If you look closely under the passenger side tire, you can see the big puddle of oil that i sprayed because i had forgotten to connect the oil pressure line to the engine...

once the cab was cut up, it was time to hit the frame...

we had much trouble separating the trans and engine, so we just took it out in one piece. but to do that, my brother cut the core support

Life Support to the engine. this is when we first saw we had a crack in the lower radiator hose connection...ran it that way anyways


This entire project would have been more difficult had it not been for charlie. he's my sister's fiance's brother.
He's putting the finishing touches on the electrical


The morning of cleanup and scrap day. this is how she sat...i almost had tears in my eyes.


pretty new shocks. did both front and rear. BIG difference in how she rides compared to the 2wd truck


took off around 11pm on friday, and slept in a Denny's parking lot in Baker, CA for a few hours. Left around 4 in the morning from there and slept again just before Las Vegas. Drove all the way to Mesquite and fueled up. didnt take any pictures until i was back in utah. this is just before Minersville.



Once i was close enough to feel safe, i spent some time to play with the 4wd and rest a bit

well, it's definite, we are taking the truck on yet ANOTHER epic adventure.

This time, we are heading down for my sister's wedding, and we are taking an early anniversary trip.

does anyone know of any good places to stay near santa barbara?

Jen and I stayed at the olallieberry inn for our honeymoon, and we are thinking about staying there again, but we have some budget restraints this time around.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
