I passed a school this morning, ( a public one at that ) That at the entrance of the school they had the students each plant a flag in rememberance. It was VERY touching to me...

It is one of those thing most of us will not forget. It is like when the Challenger blew up, Kennedy was shot, the Oklahoma bombing, not that they are the same thing, but most people remember where they were at, I do.

When I was working at a small college, we would have some moments of silence and the bell there and at the churches would ring at the time it happened and continue till the 2nd plane crashed.

Since it happened, I have a American Flag that attaches to the window and flys, and drove with my lights on. I didn't see anyone else doing anything last year. I felt bad that night when I got home. I saw more flags out seems like. One post office at half mast, and of all things at wallmart too.

Sputnik is the first thing I remember.

I have never been touched more by anything ever.. september 11... i was sleeping when the first plane hit.. My brother and lived together at the time and partied pretty hard so one of us would stay up all night so that we could both make it to work on time...It was his shift to stay up on the tenth.... He came running into my room right after the first one hit and said an airplane hit a building in New York.. I jumped out of bed and ran in there to see what happened and watched the second one hit. My heart fell out of my chest my throat tightened up and i began to cry ( alot worse than i am now) I have never felt so scared or alone. I knew something was wrong there is no way two of them could accidently hit a sky scraper...I called into work for the next 2 weeks i didn't want to get out of bed or do anything I almost lost my job.. I finally got to where i could go to the bar my mom owned but that was about it... I spent most of those 2 weeks crying i couldn't go anywhere without it being all over the news and there was no way i could hold back the tears when i saw the video footage.. I became consumed with hatred towards the bastards that did this.. I bought an red white and blue New york yankees hat that i wore until it wouldn't fit any more, but i still have it..Sorry for the rambling.. Today Is a pretty tough day for me..I Would like to Thank Anyone and everyone Who has ever served or thought about serving in our Military GOD BLESS
