While I was out in Denver, CO racing the Luv at the ET Finals the original owner of "Wild Luv" came down saturday to see his old truck run. It was awesome to get to meet and visit with him. Had to take a picture of him with the truck. That is him sitting on the fender. He had alot of good stories about the truck. He put a small block in the truck in 1979 and built it into a drag truck in 1980. Sold the truck to a guy in Minnesota in 1992. My dad bought it from that guy in 1994. So we are the 3rd/4th owners of the Luv.

1992 Rocky Mtn Truck Fest, from about 88-97, my truck was out there every year for either Truck Fest, Super Chevy or both! Only ran my truck down the track once, had to sneak past inspection, No seat belts!

Nice pictures and nice looking truck.

It was fun racing down the track. My truck ran 7-8tenths of a second slower. I didn't like the part about going slower but sure had a real good time out there. It is a long drive from here and cost me alot of money but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I should have told him that but can't hurt my old heap!!! It was very cool to talk to him. Wished I would have had more time to talk to him. Sounds like he did most of the work himself building the truck. His nephew (who lives in Fort Collins) came down with him. The nephew was wearing a shirt that Gary had made about 30 years ago. He took the shirt off and gave it to me. Going to get a case and put the shirt in it and hang it up on the wall.
