Probably most don't know what they are, but those who know what Morrells are also know they are in season now. I don't live to close to where they grow now but I used to. And they aren't the cow shit kind that make you see funny things. These mushrooms only grow in certain area's of the country and for a relatively short period each year (if the conditions are right). These things are pure goodness.

Just wondering if anybody is doing any good this year. Feel free to post pics. Even if I can't eat them I can still look.

i remember Morel's as a kid,i was born in kalamazoo michigan lived in battle creek michigan till i was 14 then moved to texas been here since then.but i do remember going out with my family hunting for them then going home fry them and eating them.thats wild seeing a post about morel's on a luv truck site.i will have to say they are delicious. how do you know about them living in oaklahoma.

I was born in Ill and we moved to AZ when I was 10. I remember going out with may father too. He didn't hunt, fish or do any kind of sprorts so that is the only memory I really have as a young kid with my dad. My folks did move back to Ill for a few years in the 90's and I was able to go visit during mushroom season and go out with my dad one last time. I have a friend in MO who will send me some when he has a good season. I also have a lot of family in Ill and could go if I wanted to make the trip.

I know we're not the only 2 who know about these and I would love to hear some stories or see some pics.
