I don't know if you are familiar with it, but they gave away a Boyd Coddington built car as a promotion. It was a young guy local to me that won the car. It's now for sale to pay the taxes on the free car. I don't know what the final assigned value is, but initially he was to pay $109.000.00 to gain possession of it. The car is for sale on Racingjunk for $325.000.00. I believe the price of the car went up due to the death of Mr. Coddington. The person selling it is not the winner, but he is a known local businessman and I would think he is brokering the car. I stopped by his shop to ask but he was out.

That is a sweet looking car. That is a chunk of change to come up with but a good price for that car. I know what it is like to have to come up with money after winning a car. Back in '92 I won a brand new Mercury Capri convertible. The value was only around $18,000, so I had to come up with something like $3,000. But is a good price for a new car. The only down fall was I had to sell my '78 Pontiac Trans Am!! I still have the Capri and it only has 36,000 miles on it, so has you can see it doesn't get driven very much. And has never been driven in snow.
