Although it is very tragic and horrible and a great loss, This kid strikes me as a little spoiled.

It does seem a little wierd now that you mention it. I'll bet he doesn't see a check from the insurance company for a damn long time. With that much loss...they are bound to do one helluva thorough investigation.
