I got a lot of paint overspray on my tires and i'd like to know if there's a way of getting rid of it. Most of it is in the tire treads. Although it only a cosmetic issue, it gives the apperance of a tire that looks like it's out of balance. Trying to scrub it clean is not viable be cause of all of the nooks and crannies. Any solutions?

I really haven't tried anything except laundry detergent and a scrub brush. Will thinner work without weakening the tire?

I wouldnt know the answer to that last one. but tire rubber I would think is tough. they hold up to the old bleach burnouts. Really, I would think if you could get them to a pressure washer before it cures, or maybe even after. bummer about the paint though. Ive seen those truckers paint the side walls for some odd reason. that stuff looks like it stays a while.

good luck.

The overspray has been there for a good while. The truck was painted in mid November. The reason im dealing with it now is because the axle is out of the truck and the wheels are sitting on the patio looking weird. If they were old tires then i wouldn't care less but they're almost brand new. It wasn't a priority before but at this point im taking care of oddball stuff till my axle is completed.
