6-8 with my Buick odd fire 231, turbo 350 and stock rear end. Man I wish this site would have existed back when I built my truck. You guys dont know how lucky you have it, I had nobody to ask questions back then and trial and error sucks!! But I did have better access to parts back then! Off topic rant related to the original question, sorry

I took a 120 mile road trip last weekend. It was the first long run with the reworked axle. After doing the math, i calculated that my 400SB/TH 350, 2.75 geared, 25" tire setup gets 15 m.p.g. on the Hwy. I gained about 4 more m.p.g. with the fixed up axle.

Small block, 4.56 gears with auto trans, 31 inch tires I get 8 or so.

My stock 4X4 gets about 25, but it needs a tune-up.

16-20, but I also have larger than stock tires, so I'm guessing 20-26 when figuring in the difference in tire size

I figured mine with the larger tires. I drive 110 miles a day to work and back, so I filled the truck up, drove to work and back and filled it up again.
