well i need to perty much redo the engine. Then im lifting it 2" and going to put it on 33s. Then i dont know if it will get painted Olive Drab or CAT Yellow...

Cat yellow is pretty cool. Not to mention if you get the real equipment enamel its usually cheap and tuff

I think you should put a blue stripe down the top and some plaid around the bottom. 8)

I would go with the cat yellow and maybe do some cool flames on it. Can you ever remember seeing a trooper with flames 8O ?

it looks like a great score and the price seems like an old Fort Lewis special. we used to get some sweet deals off the Rangers when they'd get frustrated with thier cars.

CAT yellow has been done. There is an 86 Troop over at http://www.planetisuzoo.com that has CAT yellow with black on the center section of the hood and as trim around. It doesn't look too bad, but it didn't really grab my fancy.

Using the raised hood center as a starting point for a strip down the top would be kind of cool though. You could go black with white stripe for a skunk stripe. :P Better yet, do a yellow stripe for that yellow jacket look and put a big whip CB antenna on the rear for a stinger. :) Whatever you do, that graphic sticker on the side needs to go, really makes it look very grandpa/grandma.

that troop gave me the idea, that and i have a buddy that works in a CAT warehouse i can get the paint for dirt cheap :D 8)

well now it seems like the Trooper might just be donating its lower axle gears to the LUV. I have always whanted a little more low end out of my truck and this is a good chance...
