I bought a LUV from a goofy old timer it allready had a 283 sbc in it and he said he put a rear end in it out of a nissan truck. I asked him what kind of truck he got the rear end out of and he doesnt know anything other than it came out of a nissan. Well it just so happens that I dont know anymore about it then he does. It looks somewhat like a ford 9" but smaller with the removeable 3rd member and doesnt have a removeable cover on the side that points to the rear of the truck. The otherday I was looking around in an intersection where I was working and noticed about 20 nissan trucks drive by some where 2wd and some 4wd that looked like they had the same rear end my luv has. Can anyone tell me what I might have and maybe some numbers or something about it? Im curious about it because I broke the rear u joint and need to get a part number. I would also like to know how strong or weak it is. Thanks for any help in advance.

there shoudl be a number on the rearend somewhere thats like h223, or h204 or something.

look for a letter with 3 numbers after it. the 3 number say how big the ring gear is in millimeters.
