ok. ive got this datsuns sittin in my yard still and i dont know what i wanna do with it. i dont want to get rid of it cuz its still pretty good, but i do cuz its just sittin.

ok my idea is get a straight axle front end that about the same width as the front end as the datsun so i can do away with the weeny front suspention that on this thing. then get me a nice rearend that will hold some power and slap the under the back. THEN get the 327 that ive sorta got and put some 12:1 pistons in it, a lumpy cam, some double humps, and make some neat headers.

whadaya think?

its a 74 620.

i did have a buick v6 in it, but i gave up on it cuz it had alot of brake work and the electrical was shot.

if i make it a "gasser datsun" ill just have heavy duty back brakes. and then ill have 2 taillights and 2 headlights on a curcuit for track rules.

heres a pic of it.

that was before it was kinda picked over though. my dad has a datsun too.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

I still dont know why you just completly gave up on the Datsun before. You just put $200 in the damn brakes then you just stop and part everything out to your dad. You were actually getting somewere on that truck!! All you needed was a different master cylinder and a brake line. They have those at junkyards everywere you could have found something really cheap that works good. Then you could have had your driveline welded back up for cheap too.

Then you gave Ireland $100 for that Pup you were suspose to get and then you never got that.

Now you want to start back up on the Datsun again with a straight axle?

If I were you I would get that Toyota Corona runnin of you moms and have that for something you can actually drive for a daily driver then get yourself a hot rod. It will be reliable and gas efficeiant. Then you need your drivers liscense too. Sometimes I wonder about your priorities on things. :smt108

I know that I change around on things too, but have I been without something to drive though. The 78 took a crap and with all the work we've done on that I just decided to start over. But I am using just about everything from that truck that I need to so there isn't no hardcore waste of money like that. I know I can never get the money out of it if I try to sell it but the Luv was a really good transportation and better than anything I had and the new Luv is going to be even better. :vamp:..........................Hopefully
