who makes the motors? the one im looking at is a 75. what years are the same?

Isuzu, made the whole truck in fact.

72-75 use the same basic motor. There are a few differences in each year, but basically 72-75 are very similar. In 76 a new motor design was introduced, along with a change to the bumper and a couple other little bits.

Check out the first post under Stock Trucks for info on each year.
