what years what the 283 sbc made?

im pretty sure it was 58 thru 67.

283's were from 57-67. '58 was the debut of the 348 and 55 was the debut of the 265 and the start of the sbc...

The first few years of SBC the motor mounts are different, though I forget the last year of the front mount style. It couldn't be much past 58 or 59 as I recall.

I've got a '59 283 and its a side mount. I thought the 57 was the only one with the front mount?
