So my little brother lives with my family and me, and he drives a S10, which he wants real bad to do a v8 swap. ANYWAY, he comes home the other day, and we were in the process of swappin out his Alt. and starter. Well we got the Altenator on, and the next day we were gonna do the starter. Well he came home. and some how he broke the hood release cable. So my question is... HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU POP THE HOOD WITH NO HOOD RELEASE???? I looked under the front end, and I cant even fit my arm half way to the latch, and I dont see anyway to get it open with out destroying the hood. Any ideas????

you can take a long screw driver go in from the bottom side and look for the latch where the cable goes. just move it till the hood pops. its a pain in the rear but it can be done .. I have done this several times over the years.
good luck
