I am in need of some bolts, and do not know the sizes to ask for. I need the 2- bolts for the starter[chevy], waterpump pulley bolts, harmonic balancer pulley bolts. I went to parts store the other day to get intake bolts, and they had a Mr. Gasket set for $50  , I was like "NO WAY", so I went to a lumber yard that sells nuts and bolts and what not, and got basically the same bolts for $3 :D So I figure I will go there to get the rest but don't know what to ask for. Any help is appreciated {once again} :D THANKS T.

No, it was just the bolts to bolt down the intake, no gaskets or anything else. Crazy huh!

You can pick up a bolt gauge at a lot of hardware/tool places. I have one with holes for bolt sizing, pegs for hole/nut sizing, and thread pitch gauges. The pitch guages are just molded threads you lay the bolt up against and find which one fits. You can also get ones that fit inside a nut to measure the pitch on them as well. They look sorta like a key.
