Some kid owns one of these, he works nights at my store. I was fixin' a flat on his truck today and talked to him about selling it to me. It's got 15" chrome plated rims, solid axles and chrome plated tube bumpers. It runs goo. . . well, it runs. The body is shot, the frame's had the shit bent out of it. He thinks he can get a grand out of it, but I told him when he can't sell it, to come talk to me.

I don't know how much would be fair to offer him, he's about 16 or 17, so I don't think he even knows what it's worth.

How easy will the front axle convert to my truck and is it worth a damn?
will the differential bolt up to my driveline?

Is this worth pursuing?

Thanks.

Thing is though, I don't want the truck. I will use it for target practice, I just want the axles and the bumpers, and maybe the roll bar.

I don't plan on paying anything anywhere near the neighborhood of the mental hospital that thought up $1000 for the piece of shit. What I'm curious is what I can expect to buy for those particular parts seperately, then I'll add that number together and make that offer, and he can even keep the stereo and whatever else he wants.

its not worth it. i picked up 2 yota front axles for my luv with steering and suspension for 200 i picked up a roll bar for 40 and made a tubular bumper for 40. the truck is not worth it and the axle in it is probably from a yota n e way.
