Howdy all!

I have a 1980 Chevy Luv project underway.

Unfortunately, it was at the hands of shade tree mechanic...who apparently mucked up the existing Weber 32/36 carb.

I took the Weber in for a rebuild and should have it in hand sometime in next few days. In the meantime, I was assessing the vacuum lines that were in place - there are three vacuum ports coming out of the carburetor manifold.

In the pic, the three lines at base are encircled (obviously Weber removed). Each line numbered from right to left, as:
Line 1 - goes to the EGR valve, and current mechanic says I can cap this line since Weber doesn't need it.
Line 2 - it was capped when I got the truck - have no idea where it is supposed to connect.
Line 3 - it was connected as shown but mechanic says likely a wrong connection since the carb would be pulling heat/oil from the valve cover into the carb.

Any help would be appreciated in troubleshooting these lines.
