I want an old ford econoline pickup. My grandad had one when I was a kid. I thought it was cool to sit on the front wheel. I always thought a blown big block would look cool in the bed.

I had a buddy of mine who had a Ford Courier with a 302 and his brother had a Mazda B2000 which is basically the same truck but the B2000 had a 289 in it. It was kinda funny I thought but the were fast little trucks. well just my two pennies!

there's a guy around here that has a courier on a 4x4 blazer or toyota frame. could be a yota frame cause it fits the truck really nicely, but the diff has a chrome cover on it which makes me think it's got a 10 bolt under the front(toyotas have a 3rd member and not diff cover)

i don't think mazda's ever been that great of a manufacturer...kind of like a japanese chrysler

my friend and his girlfriend's mazdas(she had a pickup, he had a turbo mx6) both broke their steering racks and caused them to crash. i'm lucky to be alive, earlier on the night my friend's steering ate it, we were doing 90 down a country road...1 hour later the steering went out at 25mph and we hit a tree

I think only 33.3% of Mazda is owned by Ford.

couriers were all built by mazda, until ford went to the ranger in '82 or 83. mazda had their own pickup line until the early 90s when the b series became rebadged rangers. kinda funny how things swapped around...chevy used to sell isuzus, now isuzu sells chevys...ford used to sell mazda, now mazda uses ford pickups

personally, i hate the idea of rack and pinion steering in a truck. unfortunately it seems that's the way things are going nowadays, since it's supposedly easier to crash test than recirculating ball type steering.

Either way, they all have basicly the same frame, my buddy just repaired his mazda, with a yota frame, I was looking at my luv frame when I ahd ti stripped down, almost identical to my nissan frame. I know a guy had a luv body, on a yota frame. Crazy stuff.

theres still a ford courier sittin in my buddies woods, left side fo the frame is ruste din two and its shaped like an L not, but the thing still runs. Another buddy has a diesel luv, thats the same way.

Here's my 1973 Ford Courier, I bought it off ebay in December. Drove it home from Idaho. I drive it everday to work (about 50 miles round trip) I got some new wheels and mirrors, This is an older picture. Truck looks alot better now. The Chevy Luv is kept in the garage.
