Get well soon, do what the doctors say (safe move most of the time) I won't even give you a hard time about putting a Ford into your Luv... Hay it is your truck man... Don't push your self too hard.. Being broke is a MF...

Peace man.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

No Ford motor in my truck. I'm working on a 66 Mustang since I'm luvless right now.

I disassembled the motor this week to get it ready for the machine shop. I found beeswax and honey in cylinder #2 (wtf) but other than that everything looks ok.

I got cleared to return to work (and did so) at the beginning of this month. Hopefully I'll start making progress again soon.

So I'm FINALLY putting the finishing touches on my shop this week and can maybe start working on my car again.

My wife and I had a pretty big argument the other night about how much money I've been spending on projects. I told her I make more money than her, so I'll do what I want.

So anyway she doesn't know I bought these...

Nice! I was looking at a 347 Stroker today a friend got in trade from a supposedly knowledgeable guy. The pushrods are way too long, so the valve train needs to be gone through. Easier to check and repair while it is on the stand...

Man I haven’t updated this thread in forever.

The car is running. Lol.

347, flat top forged pistons, 58cc aluminum heads. About 10.6:1 compression. Custom grind cam, 226° duration and .584 lift with 1.6 roller tip rockers. Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 SFI fuel injection. Edelbrock was running a promo where if you bought the setup, they’d give you a sump for free, so I tried that out. I bought a carter mechanical fuel pump to supply it, and the sump puts out 58 psi (I think) to the rails. It seems to do ok, but I also haven’t really road tested it yet.

I watched a series of videos and rebuilt the 4R70W transmission I got from the donor truck myself. Got a 2800 stall from FTI and a controller from Baumann. I’ve never even had the pan off a transmission myself before. The videos were good and I feel confident that I should get at least 12 miles on this transmission before it falls apart.

I’ve got a few little things left to do before I take it out of the neighborhood, but I’m hoping to have it ready to drive by April.

I took it to the exhaust shop today (on the trailer) and had them make a 2.5” set with an x pipe and magnaflows because I wanted it kind of quiet. Now the air sucking into the intake is louder than the exhaust. LOL

My son in the passenger seat. Teaching him how to properly behave in the city limits.
