I am really sad to see this happening. The Australia government does not seem to want the country to have their own autos.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

sad to see that our government here doesnt really support our manufacturing industries. Its going to hurt us in the long run. Its not just ford and holden that are screwed its all the parts manufacturers that supply parts to them.

Yes, it will affect several thousand people. That said I do not approve of government bailouts, but but this is a exception to how I feel. It seems that letting the WHOLE car manufacturing industry and the related go down the toilet. I know a little about it from investigating the industry when I was doing my VW cars. Sad time for the Aussie folks. Toyota is considering the same thing. :(

Being a old Mitsubishi Tech I introduced the Diamante to my wife. We bought a 2002 model, then we found out that 2004 would me the last year they built them so we went out and bought a new 2004 and gave my dad our old one. Not sure who built it but they were built in Australia, if they still made them we would have another new one.
