So my truck has had the same problem for awhile, it will drive fine for a few minutes than it will start feeling like no gas is getting to the engine when I gas it or even put it to the floor, and now my carb is making funny noises and from the muffler I can hear back firing, than just now I took the air cleaner cover off to look while my friend gave it gas trying to keep it from dying it it backfired right into my face from the carb, I think from the weird noises that my carb is going out, any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

It has been posted a million times here before. The stock carbs are junk period. Get a Weber and never have the issues again.

I have been on the forum for many years, I can count how many people were successful in rebuilding them on one hand. I can't count how many have tried only to end up buying a weber. Sorry, the facts are the facts, save up and get a weber and never worry again.

That's the correct carb but it is carb only, no air cleaner (stock won't fit a Weber), no adapter plate to mount the carb to your stock manifold. You want the kit#K696.

For 260 I found the correct one on the weber site that even says its for a luv, and a few other vehicles, but comes with everything, and that sounds like the cheapest way to go, now I just need to find out how to get that money.
