I have a strange situation going on with my truck. I have lots of oil coming out of my filter on the valve cover. ( not the pcv valve. It's the one that goes to air box).

I have ruled out the obvious problems, I think. Here is what I have done.

Changed the pcv valve
Compression test. 150 lbs on every cylinder
Checked for blow by. I have none.
Had Cat. Conv. Checked. They are bad, but probably not clogged.

I know there are many helpful mechanics on here, that's why I'm posting this question. I thought it might be clogged drainbacks?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

With the engine running, pull the pcv/hose from the valve cover. With your thumb over the end there should be a strong suction. Also there should be very little smoke coming from the valve cover (blowby).
If nothing found there I would remove the valve cover and look for a missing baffle inside that keeps oil from the valve lifters from splashing up into the pcv/hose assembley.

I may have found the problem. There is soooo much oil soaked on everything, it may be a day or so till I find out.

I had bought a generic valve cover breather from Auto Zone. I think it was the wrong kind because the "valve" that was in the bottom of it seemed like it was wrong. I replaced it with another one that I think will work right. Oil seemed a lot less, but it was still leaking. I will take off the pcv hose and check for suction in the morning. Thanks you very much egg!!
