We've received word that the California Senate Bill S.B. 1224 which would have given emissions exemption status to vehicles up to 1981, has failed to pass through the committee by a vote of 4-3. The bill is not completely dead however, as the committee has voted 9-0 to have the bill reconsidered.

I googled it and found a website with the email addresses for the CA state senators involved. I would suggest if this is something you are in favor of email them all and ask them to support the reconsideration effort. 8)

This could get my 76 on the road again soon!

I did a google search on the bil, but haven't seen any updates on them re-introducing it for a vote. I hope they can get it to pass the next time around.

I wouldn't hold your breath on this. I have been getting the newsletters from the state senators involved and this is off their radar with all the crap going on in this state. I would suggest finding a 75 or older Luv and you are set.
