Got the 8.8 rear in it. Have to pick up a u joint is all that is left to do. I also went ahead and corrected the throttle cable since I now have an upgraded rear...

Finally got around to working on the step side bed so this truck can match my LUV's, lol... This is just a (very) rough mock up...

Are you able to tuck in the tire more if you lower it and with better wheel backspacing?
I am thinking about getting an explorer 8.8 posi rearend for my Stepside.

Spent some time today on it. I got both sides of the bed mounted, and i got the front of it sectioned and welded back up and installed. I have to extend the bottom of the front piece and section the tail gate, then I can start on the fiberglass work. Of course the filler neck on the fenders is on the opposite side...

Had a few minutes this morning between yard work and going to work... I trimmed down and mocked up the factory Nissan roll pan. Have to make some tabs to bolt it to the sides, but it looks like it will work out...

Todays fun fest was fabbing up a cross brace behind the roll pan to tie the lower bed sides togeether so they don't flex. Then I sectioned the tail gate and threw it on for measurement purposes. I am going to have apiece of sheet plate sheared and cut out the center of the tail gate so it will be smooth...

Had a piece of 11 gauge sheet sheared earlier in the week, so I got the tailgate cut out and smoothed today... I also installed all the bolts in it, and finished up all the sheet metal. Next up is the glass work on the fenders...

Today's 2 hour action packed adventure before work consisted mainly of seam sealing, lol... I did rehang the passenger fender and cut down and hung the driver side fender in preparation for the fiberglass work...

I had a radiator built with a divorced filler neck, 19 x 26 cross flow. I modded the core support so the rad could go inside. The plan was to move the fans to the front of the rad and reinstall the ac condensor, but that is no bueno... I will need to source a reverse flow short water pump set up to make room for that... I fabbed up the trans lines, but the parts house gave me one wrong fitting. Got to get that, then I can load it up and go to the parts store to find the radiator hoses that will work...
