My son is looking at buying a Trooper with the engine mentioned above in it. Anyone know anything about it? I've had a couple older ones but nothing with that engine.

ive heard of

1.9L
2.2L T\D
2.3L
2.6L
2.8L GM V-6 this engine could be replaced with a GM 3.1 or 3.4 V-6
2.8 T\D (over seas)
above are all GEN1 engines.....

3.1L T\D (over seas) as well as some ECM controlled common rail engines we never got
3.2L sohc and dohc V-6 models GEN2, also a late model thats only one of the two....
and the direct injected 3.5L V-6 gas engine GEN3 only.

the only other one ive heard of, was a proto type (that never made it to sales), it was
a 3.5L V-6 made as a V-8 back pistons had over heating issues thus it was scratched.

as to 4.3L GM V-6 swap, or a typo
