And ring gap needs to be checked, so you can be sure you have the proper end gap...

Ok now i finaly scraped up just enough money to pay this guy to put my motor together.......

Everyone says the luv 1.8l motor is underpowered from factory.....HOW DO WE CHANGE THIS?

A carb? Header? Exhaust? Intake? Coil?

I need to know what i need to buy now......

I GOT:

Re-ring kit
Water pump
Oil pump
Timing set
Coil
Point set
Battery terminals

I read in a thread some where on this site about a guy who adjusted his valves and got better fuel millage and more power?
How do i do this? will it make my truck run better? these trucks are extremly slugish? They run at really high rpms? will they cruise at 70 mph without blowing a motor?

Is there a certain way i can do this stuff so my truck gets 30mph,has some power,is able to run lower rpms?
WITHOUt major swaps?

I am going to be using this truck as a daily driver, to my parents, to work, to the store, ect......but also when it rains i will take it in the mud....not hauling A$# or really raging it out but cruising through the mud....driving in some water abou 2 feet not extremly deep.....and climbing some hills here and there not seriouse trail rides...and maybe going to the coast and driving down the 4x4 only beach......

If i want a webber carb will it bolt right up to the stock intake? and if i buy a dual port intake from moka will it bolt right up to that? which one should i get? i live in texas san antonio area and you know what i plan on doing in my truck so just let me know exactly which one.

i know there is electric and manual or w/e but i dont know about carbs.......

With the carb, intake, header, and exhaust it says that adds 25 hp is that a big increase can you feel it?

will my motor being bored 30 over and the head shaved 20 thousands adding the carb, header, intake, exhaust, how much hp will i then be at?

I dont know if it matters but i will be later adding 2 inch body lift, t bar crank, and some LT225/85R14 tsl radials The tires are 28.7/8.80/14r ..........
