On a '79 FWD do the bearings need to be packed with grease like the front wheel bearings?

The bearings need to be packed with grease, there is an oil seal in the axel tube that keeps diff oil separate from bearings. I have read posts on isuzupup.com of people fitting grease zerks to prolong bearing life.

If you go to my post Bulding a daily driver here at viewtopic.php?f=33&t=22285 you will see how I removed the bearing, and the tool I made to do the job.
