hey guys,

the wife blew up her metro (not literally, but almost)

now im pressing the impala into service sooner than anticipated so she has a car to take to work.

the engine was missing an intake, carb, distributor and some other odds and ends.

as it sits right now, im missing a battery, coolant, an oil change, and some electrical connections.

the biggest issue is that i want to make sure i install that HEI correctly.

The distrib didn't come with a wirirng diagram, but from what i understand, i have to run a power wire 10 GA or close to it from the fuseblock to the "batt" prong on the under side of the distributor right?

as it sits, i don't even know if the alternator works properly, but i want to at least wire everything with new wire.

if i have to, i will just rip everything out and wire the engine compartment from scratch.

yep thats the good thing about hei distributors. all you need is a hot wire ran from a switched 12 volt source and if it is timed correctly it will run.no muss no fuss
