i have a 76 monte carlo with a 350 i need 2 put a catylitic converter on it to pass cali smog, i have a converter from a 4 cyl i think late 80s or maby early 90s volvo so my question is can i use the volvo converter on my monte and do you thinkit will pass smog ?

Nope the converter you have is to small and will choke the motor you need one for your size motor or a little bigger. But beware as a muffler shop can not weld in a used converter legally.If you want to try and get by with a used one try and find a later model one as they are less restrictive and smaller. Happy welding.
