i own a black 76 LUV and a 79 LUV bot in need of resto but i dont know which one i should fix up??? suggestions anyone :L

I'm not familar with the Australia models, but in the states, the 76-79 use the same engine. Another thing to consider is rust, maybe one is in better shape than the other. I like swet4more's comment on fixing them both though.

If the 76 has a mechanical clutch, stick with it. The hydraulic one on my 77 has been a pain since it was almost new. I agree on looking at the rust.

Labman, intersting your Luv has a hydralic clutch. My 1980 4x4 is mechanical. Perhaps produciton was different in your neck of the woods.

Because it can be difficult to source parts in Australia, i suggest you build 1 good Luv out of the two. All parts will be interchangeable between the 76 and 79, keep ALL the parts you have left over.
