I am working on a 2000 Chevy 3500 Express cargo van. I have tried every thing from the ball joint tool to bottle jack to heating up the hub and beating on it. I still cant get this thing off the hub. Anyone have any ideas that will help.

What are you trying to remove, ball joint from spindle or ?.
The way I've done it for years, is to loosen the ball joint to spindle nut. Let the suspension hang, and smack the side of the spindle where the ball joint goes thru. It is a tapered hole and when you smack it, it will cause the taper to disengage. It may take a few wacks, faster than pickle fork and less damage.

I have done it that way and usually works very well. Once in a while on a tight one, I have used an air hammer with the pickle fork attachment.

i would imagine you are not re using the ball joints right? if they are being replaced, why not just hit the ball joint stud? it SHOULD come straight out if you hit it with a big enough BFH
