I have an '88 Chevy crew cab dually with dual tanks that you have to fill on each side of the truck. Does anybody know of a kit were you can fill both tanks from one side or have one bigger tank on just one side. It sure is a pain in the ass having to fill up both tanks when you are pulling a big trailer!!! Thanks.

I've seen a rotary vane type pump used to pump from one to the other when filling. Slows up topping off a little and you want to have the gauge switched to the pumpee tank not the pumper.
The other method would envolve putting a fitting at the lowest point in the tanks and connecting them together going stright across. Never have seen one that looked safe to me.
Another way would be to connect a tube that goes to the bottom of each tank out the top together. Once it starts to siphon it will keep them balanced unless you run one below the inlets. Sort of like the tubes they use to draw water over a burm to irrigate crops.

I always hit the first station I came across after swapping from one tank to the other, which sort of defeats the purpose...

We had a 5 ton box truck years ago with dual tanks. Someone had put a tube between the two tanks with a shutoff valve so if you wanted you could only run on one tank or open it and draw from both. It took a couple extra minutes to fill it with the valve open but did fill both tanks.

Thanks guys. Will see what I come up with. Would like to sell it and buy a DuraMax, but they are very pricey.

I had an 83 1/2 ton years ago. I love the 2 tanks, but hated the "on each side" part.
I didn't want to scratch the top of the bed draging the hose over. I would lay it down, and quickly turn the truck around.
People would give me odd looks.

My '97 Ford has the 2 on the left side. a front and a back. Much easier.

I love the 2 tanks also but also hate the each side part. I lay the nozzle down or have the wife hold it (which she just loves!!) and turn the truck around too, but it gets to be a pain in the a$$ when pulling a 24' enclosed car trailer.
