i had a 1985 nissan x cab 2 wd fun truck, however it is alot like the luvs in the fact that there are almost no parts available for it, after 350,000 miles ish the engine gave out found a new one put it in got a header and a weber on that little z24 engine went pretty good, blew a rear brake line and as i was crawling under it to check it out, i grabbed the frame to adjust myself and it crumbled in my hand, of course this could be because i lived on an island in s.e. alaska{extreme amount of salt in the air} :esad

anyway if that hadn't happened i would still have the truck, one of my fav's

anyway, long story but the jist is i just thought i would let ya know to check the frame especially from just behind the cab to the rear bumper

good luck with the truck and dont forget pics

well i got the truck today, its got the z motor!!!

it has torsion bars up front, but it doesnt look like i
can back them off anymore, but every one else has
lowered theirs like that..... do they adjust them from
the back? im jus going to monoleaf it in the back........

oh and i need a carrier bearing!!! there isnt one there,
its almost like there was never one!
and i only have brakes on the one front wheel!

so i got the truck for 200 bux, and i need brakes and
a carrier bearing and its good to go! oh and i need a diff exhaust! :)

Lots of PB Blaster or another penetrating oil.. Use the PB Blaster and a BFH first. The torch is the last try. You could use a torch to help break free the rust. The torsion bar is tempered steel, so be careful of heating it. Heat the part that the bar fits into, not the bar. Get someone to help with heating it.

so it needs a lil work! haha but i jus couldnt pass a good running minitruck
like this for 200 bux!!! haha i lowered it about 5 inches in front and about 3
inches in the back, and my driveway is at an angle, and it ripped the stock exhaust
off, so i had to clamp that glass pack on and start parking it on the street........
until i get the money to go get a new one custom made.. sounds like a ricer now.. :(

so im guna get a roll pan, and a header with 2 1/2 piping into a magnaflow
muffler right where the spare tire would be, then into dual exhaust out the back with
some little exhaust tips...... hoppefuly it doesnt sound too ricey, but i hope
its deep with a good growl!!

A lot of the rice sound is in the exhaust tip that is used. No way to hide the 4 cyl engine sound.
