who has swapped their dash, I was wondering about something out of a newer car/truck, preferably a GM
I did a search here and found that some one swapped in a vw dash in theirs.(not what I had in mind)
I don't mind the original, its in typical shape for a 75, and I plan on re-wiring the whole truck along with aftermarket gauges, just doing some brain stormin'

any ideas??

Since I couldn't find a stock dash pad I was thinking about installing a 53 chevy truck dash panel in and seeing what my options were with gauges. This was a few years ago and i dont remember where i left off. But i have put in on hold for now cause i need some other interior things as well. I was also looking into making a panel out of aluminum that would install in the stock location but use auto meter gauges... But would need a piece for the golve box door to match...
Just some ideas

that would be great if i was building a race truck! I am building sort of a cruiser, I am going to hit the portland swap meet coming up, also take a look at the local pick-apart. I like the dash my cousin had in his 96 s-10, so I might be keeping an eye out for something like it, but then again, who knows, I am just brain storming??

A buddy of mine had a 57 Chev dash laying on the floor that he was selling on e-bay but looking at it it looked like it would fit with some metal work and would be trick

Behind the panel is 1/2 inch tubing and what looks like rivets are actually stainless button head bolts also the gauge on the left is the fuel level
