I started my truck again today for a bit, Did I mount my gas line wrong. The inlet hose is above the carb. When I shut it off even with shutting the fuel pump off first it dumped gas in the carb like you were pouring it in. Did the gravity keep it flowing out of the line through the carb, My rear is quite a bit higher. i thought the needle and seat should keep it from dumping into the intake. I fouled out one set of plugs before and now I might have done another, :econfused

I had the same problem not long ago. Same carb. i took the top plate off and sprayed the inside with carb cleaner real good especially where the needle seats. no problems now. My problem was at start up i would turn the fuel pump on first to get gas that direction and then start it. When i would shut it off then it would pour in. Then when shutting it off leaving the pump going. It would pour in .
