Hey yall I am building a 383 and I need help. I finelly found a place to bore out the engine but I dont know what I should use to build it with. Also I need to figure out if I should use a 4 speed or 5 and what one hooks up to the engine I have.

For the money go the 4spd as unless you can afford a after market 5spd as the T-5s are not going to hold up with a 383 if you like to hammer the throttle as they are a week trans. But don't give up hope as a buddy of mine has a T-5 out of a Astro van in his 455 powered 67 442 and it's still alive but he also has some spares just in case.
