Strange that the trunk button isn't working. Is there a valet trunk lock switch in the glovebox that might be stopping the trunk from opening?

There is usually a valet switch that will prevent the trunk from opening with the button. Alot of newer cars have them, and they also have a special valet key that you are supposed to give to the valet when they park it. The valet key will not open the trunk.

The thing about the valet switch for the trunk, is the switch is usually somewhere it can be locked. It might be in the glove box, or it could be in the trunk.

I don't know if you can on a late model like that or not? Old school way was to take out the rear seat, get some skinny person to crawl through the holes that are there and work the lock and open it. If it does not have holes, you could cut one and do the same thing with out doing any outside body damage. Weld it back in, I am sure it is part of the crumple design.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.
