What would you all pay (If you liked/wanted one) for a 1966, restored in 2003, 1 owner, original matching numbers el camino? It comes with the factory 283.

You'd have to shop around to see what others like it are going for. From what I've seen in that era of classics, it is probably worth $20 grand or more.
Would I pay it or not, probably not. But somebody must be, if that's what I see them priced at all the time.

I've used this site for years...seems like they are pretty close to on the money. Obviously, the price varies some by location.

Sounds ok, but nothing rare. A nice old driver might be better. Then fix it up like you want.
Just my 2 cents..

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Oh, I wasn't going to buy it, I was just curious on the opinion. I prefer to make the car a fast, fun ride for myself, regardless of how many numbers match or how original it is.

The guy wanted $16k for it.

thats kinda depressing... i would like to think my LUV is worth more than that.... well its worth more to me anyway, i guess sentimental value... but i wouldnt even think to get rid of my truck for less than 10 grand but thats just me...

You have to take that with a grain of salt. IMHO, most people in the car collecting world look down their nose at any US/Japanese collaboration, or Japanese vehicle to a certain extent. It's all based mainly around US cars made from Detroit steel, especially on that site.

I know I personally hear negative comments occasionally when people that look over my truck learn that I chose to keep using Isuzu running gear instead of swapping it all out for some Detroit steel. Even though it looks good, handles well, and is reasonably quick, I still hear some grumbling about it at car cruise-ins, shows that I attend as a spectator in my truck, or when I'm just out cruisin' around in it. Whether I have Chevrolet plastered all over it - the fact that mine has a well-built potent Isuzu 4 banger engine with all Isuzu running gear seems to displease some old die-hard hot rod enthusiasts I run into, regardless of how it looks, drives, or runs, and regardless of how much time and $$ I have invested in it.

But oh well...I've personally been offered a hell of a lot more than $3700.00 for mine, and I've noticed stock Luvs in poor to average condition have recently sold for way more than that on Ebay and Craig's list - so I wouldn't treat what that site has to say about the value of a Chevy Luv as anything handed to you on a stone tablet next to a burning bush.

The only reason I posted it at all was for some of us here to get a chuckle or two out of it....lol
