I'd say absolutely yes. Here's the text from the ad....

Quote:
I am selling a 1933 American Austin. This car was parked in 1959 in Southern California, and had not moved up until a couple of months ago. It was a late 50's gas altered drag car that has a 55-57 chev. narrowed rear end, drag master front end, and was set up to run a 283 small bock chev. The pictures were taken in Bakersfield, Ca at the 2008 March meet. The car is to be featured in a few magazines that were at that event. My plans were to restore it back to it's glory, and run it as a gas/ altered, but I need the money for another project. The car does not come with a title, but I do have California registration and plate. Thanks 503 332-8865

Cali '50's altered..right on... :onfire: Oddly, the phone number is an Oregon number.

If I didnt have a project in my garage right now I would want to buy it just because its different. I would probably get it legall to drive on the street too. I was hoping to have my project done and sold this weekend too but I am too far behind and missed the big show this weekend.

Funny how that works. I have the '75 in the garage with plans to eventually sell it to replace our minivan, and I too am weeks (or months) behind where I'd like to be. It will be nice when it's done, but for now it's a lot of pieces.

My wife really can't seem to project out enough to envision the finished product, but she's gracious enough to let me keep working on it...she's got her eye on a 2008 Caravan. You should have heard her comments on this Bantam...sacriledge...hahah...

Yeah only could imagine what the wife would say if I dragged that home. It would be a nice peice to work on in the garage you would have plenty of room all around it as small as it is. I remember last year when I sold my luv and bought a full size truck. I have my 78 C10 and the wifes camry in the garage it doesnt leave much room for anything else If I didnt have a little 7'X10" utillity room off my garage I wouldnt have any room for my 2 tool boxes, bench and the project motor and that would suck. Im thinking about selling my 5000 pound truck so I can find something a lot smaller again that I can turn into serious street/strip ride and not have to deal with the smog man. How far are you from Ashland? I have relatives there and my cousin lives in Monmouth or somewhere that sounds like that.

I'm in between Monmouth and Ashland, actually. Ashland is south about 3 hours, Monmouth is north, a little over an hour. Monmouth is really close to ctmandu.
