Ok not a luv truck but got hold of an 84 s 10 with water in the oil. Figure it is a blown head gasket or intake gasket or both. Anyone know how tough it is to pull the top end off and put on new gaskets on a 2.8.
This little truck is nice so I don't want to swap motors since it has 63,000 original miles. Figure i could fix it myself without too much expense and use it as a daily driver. No rust, new paint and neat looking interior. Nice rims and stereo.

Them 2.8L are a different bred. But they aren't real bad to tear apart.

I had a 1985 S-10 blazer with the 2.8. Years back I did a rebuild on it, and about the only bad part I can recall was the vacuum system (lotsa vacuum lines!). Take pictures, label lines, and make some diagrams. Good luck!
