how do you make a rear end a posi rear end?
i have a rear end out of a 1985 olds cutlass and i dont exactly know what it is but it has 10 bolts ho9lding on the gears cover... i dont know if that matters tho.
but how would i go as makin it posi? i've heard of welding the spider gears but i dont see how that would make any sence :?
if any one has an easy way to do it or can show pics on how to weld it would be appreciated!

if you were to do this I believe arc welding would be your best bet for strength of course using appropriate rod which you could ask a welding shop I m not really familiar with the different types or arc rod I know 6011 6013 7018 thats about the only arc rod I used anyway.

You could also get a mini spool.

If you are planning to drive the car on the street I would highly advise against a lincoln locker or a spool of any kind for saftey reasons. My C-10 has a detroit locker in it and even that gets scary at times. I would suggest something like a limited slip in a 10 bolt. What are your expectations in the car?
