Well bordome overcame me, mixed with the drive to be different, and some australian influence... I picked up an I-mark distributor since i am familiar with them and the fact they are independant of themselves (no ecm to run it) and have vaccume advance, I plan on removing the internal HEI style coil and all of its electronic parts, and placing them inside my LUV dist. I have looked for a newer electronic distributor for my truck but there arent any yards that i could find in a 60 mile radius that has any and since my luv is my only ride i dont wanna drive it all over creation to find a part that everyone around here says they dont have... But anyway based on an eyed measurement, a bit of guess work, and an interesting idea i got from ozgemini.com; i am confident that i am doing it wrong and got the wrong parts, this is the point that some people would give up, but i already did that twice but since i paid for the damn distributor then i figured that i might as well try and make it work.... The only block i am seeing now is that the internal coil might have to mounted in a more external location wich wouild leave me with both a distributor cap that wouldnt work and the chance for an electrical short due to coil failure set on by wter in it :( ill figure it out

oh and i dont normally post things this cazy and late but i cant sleep tonight and i really want my luv to run well again like it did so many years ago before i was driven off the car lot and molestered

i used one from an i-mark and it was a drop in and wire it up... no need to swap parts between distributors...

No the parts im taking are from an 89 I-Mark, it has an internal coil and was originally mounted off the side of the cam, i am taking all the internal parts and making them fit into my smaller g180 distributor housing, unless i can take the saft out and drop the whole housing from the i-mark in pace of the distributor housing on my luv....

I'll get pics when its all done if it works for me...
