Has anyone out there used ELGIN or RENEGADE products? I recently came across these brands of cams and other parts and I have never heard anything about them. They seem to be priced fair to a little on the cheap side. It has me wondering if its junk or decent stuff.

I found these parts at Starperf.com after asking someone who they use for mail order parts. I was told they have good deals on a lot of stuff but they also sell a lot of junk too. I was looking at connecting rods and noticed the Renegade rods were about 10 bucks cheaper than a scat set but were like +/- 5 or six grams and the scat rods were +/- 1 or 2 grams of each other and kind of turned me off.

I got a set of rods from the folks below off feebay. They were rebranded and reboxed. Turns out they are a Callies Compstar rod. I was pleased with them as they looked even better in person. The balance was almost perfect out of the box and the sizes were all in spec.
