I'm helping a buddy install a manual boost controller on his 93 RX7. I've installed these on turbo cars before, but never a twin turbo.
I did a google search, and found where to install it and everything. But then it started talking about a Seconday Turbo Pre-spool controller. Apparently, the second turbo kicks in at 4500 rpm, and you can control that so it isn't so abrupt and aggressive, but it sounded really complicated. I've never worked on a Rotary, but I've always heard they are different than almost anything else you've ever worked on. I guess its true.
So, are there any RX7 Turbo Gurus on here that can explain this to me in redneck terms, and tell me if I can just install the MBC on the primary turbo, and leave the secondary one alone?
Thanks!
