I scored a couple of sets of heads the other day and after checking casting numbers I couldnt find the 333882 heads. I dont plan on using them I was just curious as to what they are. My machinist takes old heads and stuff as trade so free heads are lowering my cost for machine work.

They are a fair head or as it is said they are the worst of the best heads or the best of the worst heads :?

Years ago i ported a set of these heads spending most of my work on the exhaust ports had them on a flat top piston motor and the performed real well but it was a hell of allot of hours of work. Find yourself a set of vortec heads and you will be very happy and you can upgrade the motor and still use the heads and be the winner.

I dont plan on using them they were free with the block I bought to rebuild. I have a set of 487s that have been ported, fitted with 2.02 1.60 valves, Bigger springs and screw in studs with guid plates. I must of missed them on the mortec page my eyes are getting a little worn out. I also ended up with a pair of Hecho en mexico heads. Like I said I dont want either pair the dude that sold me the block was going to haul it all off to the scrap yard and said I could have my pick of any thing in his garage. I didnt really look at the heads I just said ok I will take the heads too and got home and then looked at them. My machinist friend of a future relative will buy the stuff from me or give me trade for his services so I snatched it up simply for the reason that I am going to have him do the work to my block.
