I need a 1972 chevy Luv gas cap and I cant find one any ideas out there, here in my town they cant even order one.

There is a few on ebay. You might want to check there frequently for other stuff for your truck too. Make sure you add ebay stores and "buy it now" items to your advanced search. Also if you copy and paste this into your search bar, it will narrow it down to just the ones that will fit your truck:

Chevy Luv -(76,77,78,79,80,81,82)

Well it is my understanding that 1972 is it own and the later models do not fit. I can buy the 1973 and up caps at the auto store. Is that true or is the auto store here all messed up, schuck's here thinks it is a screw on like the new pickups like a bolt.

if that don't work get the gas filler neck off of a 76-80 style and get the locking cap that is what i got from auto zone
